of Renewable Resources and others in the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry &
Home Economics, with a multiple use forest area suitable for teaching,
research, demonstration and to provide educational opportunities and experience
for students enrolled at the University of Alberta.
Centre for Enhanced Forest
Management at the University of Alberta provides opportunities for
collaborative research in the development and testing of innovative forestry
practices which link genetics, silviculture, protection, growth and yield, and
management for enhancing wood production and other values (including watershed,
recreation, wildlife, and biodiversity).

Faculty of Forestry - Forestry education
in British Columbia has never been better. UBCs forest education is
keeping pace with changing social values and an increasingly knowledge-based
forest sector. UBC Forestry is turning out a new generation of foresters. At
any given time, approximately 450 undergraduate students and 200 graduate
students are enrolled at the faculty. Programs offered are progressive and
timely. Todays students not only learn about topics like the biology of
trees, innovative wood products and forest engineering, they are taught about
ecological and cultural issues related to the forest.
