College - In Fleming's two-year Forestry Technician program, you'll acquire
the right stuff to work effectively in natural resources management -- from

across Canada.
Forestry WHMIS is an online
training program in Workplace Hazardous Information Management Systems. Virtual
WHMIS training program fulfils legislated WHMIS training requirements for all
Canadian Provinces.
Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) technology is used to manage and utilize geographic data, and is
increasingly being recognized as an essential tool in such diverse fields as
forest management, urban planning, engineering, municipal management and

The Haigh Development
Corporation offers affordable and extremely valuable workshops and
correspondence courses designed for the forest industry. These courses are
recommended for anyone currently working in the forest industry or anyone

Hinton Training Centre (HTC),
which is operated by Sustainable Resource Development (SRD), offers a wide
range of training, education and research related to Albertas sustainable
resources. The Centre also possesses unique training facilities, which it makes
available to both government and its stakeholders.

University-College's 2-year Forest Resources Technology diploma program is
accredited with the Applied Science Technicians and Technologists of BC and the
Association of BC Professional Foresters and provides up-to-the-minute
information on all aspects of forestry, including silviculture, forest health,
forest inventory and engineering.
Malaspina
University-College, Forestry Extension Program - provides training and
education in many facets of Natural Resources Management. We offer a variety of
short courses, training programs, workshops and conferences to the
professional, technical and forest worker audiences, primarily in the Forest
Sector but also in related Natural Resources fields.
Maritime College of Forest Technology- To get a
great education in Forestry, you need look no further than the Maritime College
of Forest Technology. It is recognized by the forest industry as one of the
leading forestry educational programs. In 2003 we changed our intensive
one-year (12 month) program to a two-year program (September to April
semesters) plus a summer work practicum. This change allows students more time
for study, completing field exercises as well as a more balanced personal and
social life.
Northern Alberta Institute of
Technology - This program is designed to produce technologists capable of
carrying out the delivery of central core forestry practices. Graduates might
typically find themselves supervising or carrying out field operations
involving timber inventory, protection, harvesting or reforestation,
engineering and GIS.
Northern College,
School of Natural Resources - We are currently offering the Natural
Resource Technician program (2 years) that includes a blend of fish and
wildlife, forestry and environment-related courses. Our advisory committee for
the program includes the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, local First
Nations, forest industry, ecotourism operators, private consultants, and Parks
Ontario.
Okanagan College - The
ArcInfo GIS Certificate is an accredited 20 week program designed to take
students with little or no previous GIS knowledge to an advanced level of
competence using industry standard ArcInfo. This program provides students with
all the skills required to enter the rapidly expanding job market in the field
of Geographical Information Systems.
Portage College
- The Forest Technician program is a one-year certificate program designed to
prepare personnel in the practical and technical skills needed to work in the
