X-4S Tree Rangers Inc. is a forestry consulting company based out of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Incorporated in 1996, we have become a dynamic, well established business, completing work for a variety of clients throughout the province.

We are currently seeking Forest Technologists/Technicians for our 2009 summer workload. Duties could include, but are not limited to:

• Low Impact Seismic line layout
• Mountain Pine Beetle Surveys/Quality
• Silviculture Surveys
• Scaling
• Herbicide application

Positions are field based and require individuals be used to working outdoors and be in good physical condition. Shifts will vary, with training and transportation provided.

These are temporary positions that will commence ASAP and last the duration of the season, with the possibility of extending into the winter. Full time employment will be considered for the right individual(s). Wages are based either by day, hourly or on production rate depending on the project and are negotiable based on experience.

Requirements:

• Forestry Training
• Good physical condition
• Current First Aid certificate
• H2S, WHIMIS, Clear language TDG (preferred)
• Chainsaw certification (preferred)
• ATV, Snowmobile experience
• Willingness to work outdoors under adverse conditions
• Competent in compassing and GPS applications
• Mountain Pine Beetle survey experience an asset
• Silviculture surveying experience also an asset
