![]() Job Posting: Engineering Technologist / Draftsperson StoneCroft Project Engineering is seeking an individual for a full time position as an Engineering Technologist / Draftsperson. This person would be a valuable team member in our small engineering firm, whose main responsibilities would include drafting and design using AutoCAD software, site surveys using a total station and, depending on the background and experience of the individual, forestry bridge inspections and construction project supervision. StoneCroft Project Engineering is a small consulting Professional Engineering firm located in Black Creek, BC, centrally located between Campbell River and Courtenay on Vancouver Island. StoneCroft has operated in the coastal forest industry for over 19 years, designing and installing over 1,200 major structures. Our main areas of practice include the conceptual design, construction project supervision and inspection of forestry bridges, major culverts, difficult road sections, retaining walls, log dumps, dry land sorts and booming grounds. Civil / Municipal projects form a minor component of our practice. The ideal candidate will have a recognized diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting, design experience using AutoCAD, and a strong desire to work in the coastal forest industry. Candidates with a related degree or diploma and having a strong background in Forest or Civil Engineering will also be considered.
