Employment Opportunity - Environmental Technologist(s)

Silvatech was established in 1982 as a progressive land base information group providing technological solutions for resource and environmental management. The Silvatech Group provides professional services in Resource Inventories, Environmental Stewardship, Forest Land Management and Mapping. Silvatech is accepting resumes for the position(s) of Environmental Technologist. This position requires an experienced resource technologist to carry out various duties related to resource and land management. The position is full-time, based at Lac La Biche, Alberta.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forest or Environmental Technologist Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in access and harvest area development including timber, soils and hydrologic assessments
• Experience with environmental monitoring and site restoration
• Experience with developing EIAs and EFRs
• Road surveying and construction supervision experience
• Familiar with upstream oil & gas environmental processes
• Knowledge in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and assessment work
• Strong written reporting and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong people / leadership skills
• Good computer skills
• Valid drivers license
• Basic First Aid, H2S Alive, ATV safety and Bear Awareness training

• Field Data Collection
• Deactivation Supervision
• Restoration Supervision
• Site Prescriptions
• Report Preparations
