Position(s): Forest Technician(s)

Forsite employs a professional staff of over 100 in 6 locations throughout British Columbia and requires full time and seasonal staff interested in career growth in all operations. Forsite is seeking Foresters in Training and Forest Technicians at a senior technical level to support project teams with all aspects of full phase timber development, forest engineering and silviculture programs including, but not limited to:

• Timber and terrain reconnaissance
• Forest road layout and traverse
• Tie line and deflection line traverse and data collection
• Cutblock layout and traverse
• Riparian assessments
• Ecological data collection and stratification
• Timber cruising
• Silviculture surveys

Education/Certificates

• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Association of BC Forest Professionals www.abcfp.ca
• Emergency Care and First Aid Certification

Requirements

• Graduated from or enrolled in a post secondary forest, environment, or engineering program
• Valid driver's license
• Good interpersonal skills ·
• Initiative and an intuitive ability
• Willingness to work in adverse environments and conditions
