Position(s): Technical Assistant

Forsite employs a professional staff of over 100 in 6 locations throughout British Columbia and requires full time and seasonal staff interested in career growth in all operations. Forsite is seeking Technical Assistants to support project teams with all aspects of full phase timber development, forest engineering and silviculture programs including, but not limited to:

• Timber and terrain reconnaissance
• Forest road layout and traverse
• Tie line and deflection line traverse and data collection
• Cutblock layout and traverse
• Riparian assessments
• Ecological data collection and stratification
• Timber cruising
• Silviculture surveys

Requirements

• Graduated from or enrolled in a post secondary forest, environment, or civil engineering program
• Valid driver's license
• Good interpersonal skills
• Initiative and an intuitive ability
• Willingness to work in adverse environments and conditions
