CFC is currently seeking applications for Registered Professional Foresters (RPF) and Foresters-in-Training (FIT) interested in preparing Site Plans and other related activities for our clients in the northwest. The position is suitable for:

• Registered Professional Foresters looking to advance their skills, gain valuable experience or relocate.
• Foresters-in-Training seeking to satisfy experience requirements for RPF status.

Duties may include the following, and would be dependant on the current level of experience:

• Preparation of Site Plans, Road Site Plans and Site Plan Amendments which may involve the incorporation of the principles of Coast Forest Conservation Initiatives (CFCI) Ecosystem Based Management (EBM)
• Prepare Free Growing Declarations
• Assist in field engineering and other harvest development activities
• Project Management

CFC is a mid-sized consulting firm in operation since 1994 with an established clientele (Ministry of Forests, BC Timber Sales, First Nations, local forest companies, private land and woodlot owners) and reputation. Interested individuals must be physically fit, able to carry out assigned tasks in challenging conditions, be safety minded and willing to grow into a leadership role. Successful applicants should:

• Be a Registered Professional Forester (RPF), Forester-in-Training (FIT) or eligible for registration with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP).
• Have a valid Class 5 Drivers License

Successful applicants will work in a team atmosphere with focused goals and can count on support from peers and others, and called upon to supply the same in turn. Wages are competitive and are based on experience and performance. Work schedules are flexible. Benefit packages are available.
