Forest Engineer/Operational Consultant

Carson Forestry is seeking a self motivated individual to join our team in assisting clients in the Forest, Oil & Gas, Sand & Gravel, and Utility industries in Northern Alberta. Our company provides project management services to a diverse range of clients in multiple industries; this variety provides a challenging and rewarding work experience.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements within the province of Alberta, including Forestry, Environmental, and Safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of equipment capabilities, limitations, and costs.
  • Experience in managing all phases of forest operations, including planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent oral and written communications. You will be expected to represent client interests to the public, government, and contract personnel.
  • A commitment to continual education.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a diverse group of people and equipment while integrating safety, cost-efficiency, and environmental stewardship into every project.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with CAPF or CAPFT, or eligible for APEEGA membership.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta drivers licence.
  • Quad safety certificate
  • First aid, WHMIS, H2S.
