Canfor has an exciting opportunity
for a Planning Superintendent in its Radium Operation.
General
The Planning
Superintendent is the leader of the Planning Team and is responsible for
managing staff to ensure appropriate volume is available to meet manufacturing
facility needs and Company commitments within approved budgets.
Major
Duties
Primary responsibilities
include:
- Providing a safe and healthy work
environment
- Ensuring that all activities
within the Planning Team are conducted in compliance with Canfor's Mission
Statement, Environmental Policy, Sustainable Forest Management Plan and Forest
Management System
- Providing and supporting a
positive atmosphere for personal, professional and team development
- Meeting woodlands goals and
targets with respect to operational planning, strategic planning, cruising and
valuation, GIS, FIA and silviculture
- Creating positive internal and
external relationships
Qualifications
- RPF with a minimum of 10 years of
related forestry experience
- Excellent leadership and
communication skills
- A proven track record in delivery
of results
