Alberta Forest Products Association - Established in 1942, the Alberta Forest Products Association represents 63 lumber, panelboard, pulp and paper and secondary manufacturing companies in the province with annual sales approaching $4.0 billion. The AFPA provides lumber grading services, coordination of industry health and safety activities, issues management, public and government relations, industry promotion, public education and liaison with other associations. Through our ForestCare program, our member companies demonstrate their commitment to stewardship and sustainable development of the forest resource for the benefit of all Albertans. The forest products industry is Alberta's third largest primary economic sector, providing 54,000 jobs in the province. Alberta's forests are a natural, sustainable and renewable resource.

British Columbia Forest Safety Council was created in September 2004 as a not-for-profit society dedicated to promoting forest safety in the sector. It includes all of the major forestry organizations and is fully supported by WorkSafeBC and the government of British Columbia.

BC Wood is a not-for-profit association dedicated to growing British Columbia's value-added wood-products industry. At BC Wood our mandate is to help grow BC's value-added wood products manufacturing industry. Canadian Wood Council is a national federation representing the solid wood products industry in Canada. We are a non-profit trade association responsible for the production and distribution of technical information regarding the use of wood products in construction.

Canadian Wood Truss Association - The Canadian Wood Truss Association (CWTA) is a national body representing metal plate connected wood truss and structural wood component manufacturers. Council of Forest Industries The Council of Forest Industries (COFI) is a British Columbia based forest industry trade association representing approximately 130 forest companies and several forest industry trade associations. COFI's mandate on behalf of its members is to create a climate for consistent, healthy, economic performance of the forest industry. COFI focuses on seven major areas - aboriginal affairs; environment and energy; forestry; markets trade; occupational health and safety; taxation and transportation.

Forestry Industries Suppliers & Logging Association - represents over 300 forest industry supply, service and logging companies and organizations across mainly Western Canada. FISLA's primary role is to foster and facilitate domestic and international business opportunities for the supply, service and logging sectors. In addition we are very active in business support services and logger education and training.

Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) is the voice of Canada’s wood, pulp and paper producers nationally and internationally in government, trade and environmental affairs. FPAC represents 30 of the country’s largest producers of pulp, paper and wood products, and its members have responsibility for over 75% of the working forests in Canada. We provide an active forum for advancing ideas and issues of importance to the Canadian forest products industry and the 1,200 communities it sustains across the country. With the help of member companies, FPAC develops programs to promote Canada’s leadership in sustainable forest management and environmental stewardship. FPAC builds on almost 100 years of experience as the former Canadian Pulp and Paper Association (CPPA).

Forest Stewardship Council - Canada is an international non-profit organization founded in 1993 to support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests. FSC certification is internationally recognized.

Interior Lumber Manufacturers' Association - An association representing the interests of forest companies operating in the southern interior of British Columbia, in the areas of quality control, forest policy, communication and education.

Founded in 1974, the International Log Builders' Association is a worldwide organization dedicated to furthering the craft of handcrafted log building, to the advancement of log builders, and to the promotion of the highest standards of their trade. The association writes and distributes educational materials on log construction to individuals, institutions, and industry. In addition, the association provides educational services related to the craft of log building, develop and disseminate educational material and programs related to the craft, establish operating trust funds for scholarships and educational purposes.

New Brunswick Sustainable Forestry Initiative - In New Brunswick, the SFI® Program is managed by the New Brunswick SFI Implementation Committee (NBSIC). The committee is made up of interested stakeholders, the Department of Natural Resources of New Brunswick and SFI program participants that operate facilities, manage timberlands or procure wood fiber within New Brunswick. The committee was formed in 2002 and meets four times annually to promote the development of the SFI Program in New Brunswick and to facilitate a response to provincial level implementation issues.

Ontario Forest Industries Association (OFIA) is a provincial trade association representing companies engaged in forest management in Ontario, as well as those that manufacture pulp, paper, paperboard, lumber, panelboard, plywood and veneer. Our members include most primary manufactures in the province, and account for about 70 percent of the annual harvest.

Ontario Forestry Safe Workplace Association - is a strategic partner in Ontario's occupational health and safety system and is organized to provide the highest quality of training, consultation and related services to forestry member firms aimed at developing self-reliance and the internal responsibility system, all of which focus on the elimination of workplace illness and injury.

Ontario Woodlot Association, is a non-profit, volunteer organization which promotes the wise and profitable use of Ontario's private land forest resources. We used to be called the Ontario Woodlot and Sawmill Operator's Association. Currently we have 800 members.dedicated to the wise and profitable use of Ontario's private land forest resource.

Ontario Wood Truss Fabricators Association - The O.W.T.F.A. was formed in 1982 to represent the common interests of its members and to promote the use of wood trusses in residential, commercial and agricultural structures.

Private Forest Landowners Association - The Private Forest Landowners Association (PFLA) represents owners of over 90 per cent of the private Managed Forests in British Columbia. PFLA members include individuals, companies and families. Over 60 per cent of the PFLA's membership is comprised of owners with land under 250 hectares.

Timiskaming Forest Alliance Inc. - In October of 1994, members of Timiskaming's forest industry broke tradition when they put aside their competing interests on the land base and united to negotiate a New Business Relationship with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR). This new arrangement would see the development of a private forest management company that, on behalf of its members (the Shareholders), would assume forest management responsibilities for the former Crown managed forests within the Kirkland Lake Administrative District.

The Western Red Cedar Lumber Association is a non-profit trade association representing quality producers of western red cedar. Participating Members have access to a powerful marketing, promotional and educational program, exclusive product standards and marketing trademarks. Western Wood Truss Association of British Columbia - Organized in 1973, the Western Wood Truss Association of British Columbia (WWTABC) is an association of manufacturers actively engaged in the production of metal gusset plated wood trusses and individuals or firms engaged in related activities.

Western Wood Truss Fabricators Association (Sask. Man. NW Ont) - The Western Wood Truss Fabricators Association serves the needs of manufacturers of prefabricated wood trusses by representation on various committees of recognized organizations dealing with building codes and standards.represents the common interests of its' members and promotes the use of wood trusses in residential, commercial and agricultural structures.

The Wood Products Group is a not-for-profit association of specialty and value-added wood product manufacturers, active since 1992, with a present membership of 144 companies in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and Maine. Member companies aggregate annual sales are in the $750 million range and they employ a total of approximately 7,000 people. The Group's overall mandate is to create business advantage for its members. Toward that goal, it promotes strategic supply and marketing partnerships among members, enabling them to jointly pursue large business opportunities. The Group serves as a linkage among a wide network of manufacturers, their suppliers and customers, financial companies, R & D labs, training agencies, transportation companies, and federal and provincial governments.

The Woodlot Association of Alberta (WAA) is a non-profit organization lead by a volunteer board of directors. The goal of our organization is to promote leadership in sustainable forest management by increasing awareness of the forest's inherent social, economic and environmental values through education and advocacy groups. The WAA issues a quarterly newsletter to its membership, and monthly newsletter supplements. Educational programs are organized and offered by the WAA, independently, or in conjunction with other educational institutes. Programs are directed toward providing members with the skills they need to manage their woodlots in the manner appropriate to their lifestyles.
